Privacy and cookies

This page explains what data the sbreeeze.eu website collects, why, for how long and how you stay in control.

Who processes your data

The data controller is Silvia Zappino (Sbreeeze), breathing therapist in Brussels. For any question about your data you can write to silviaza@gmail.com.

When you contact me

If you use the contact form I receive your first name, last name, email and message. I use them only to reply to you and, if you wish, to arrange sessions: the legal basis is your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). I keep them for as long as needed to reply and to follow any programme we start, then I delete them.

There is no need to write anything about your health in the form: we will talk about it calmly in the first session.

The message is sent through the mail server of Aruba S.p.A. (Italy) and reaches my Gmail inbox, managed by Google. If you write to me on WhatsApp or call me, the data also pass through WhatsApp (Meta) or your phone operator, under their own terms.

The website and hosting

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (United States), which logs technical data about visits (IP address, browser, requested page) to run the site and protect it from abuse. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in the security and operation of the site.

Visit statistics (Google Analytics)

I use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to know in aggregate how many people visit the site and which pages they read. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, which processes this data on my behalf. I do not use Google Analytics for advertising or to profile you.

  • If you accept statistics, Google Analytics stores the _ga and _ga_N8ZKVZRV6R cookies to recognise later visits. The legal basis is your consent.
  • If you do not accept them, Google Analytics stores no cookies, but the page still sends Google cookieless signals: the page visited, the referring site, your cookie choice and technical data about your browser and device. Google uses them for aggregate statistical estimates. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in measuring how the site is used.

Google Analytics data are kept for 14 months, then deleted.

Cookies and browser storage

  • NEXT_LOCALE (technical cookie, until you close the browser): remembers the site language.
  • cookie_consent (browser local storage, 180 days): remembers your cookie choice, so the banner does not appear on every visit.
  • _ga and _ga_N8ZKVZRV6R (statistics cookies, 2 years, only with your consent): tell visits apart for Google Analytics.

On your first visit a banner asks whether you accept statistics: you can accept, reject or customise, and closing the banner with the X counts as a rejection. You can change your mind at any time with the Manage cookies button at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect what happened before.

Transfers outside the European Union

Vercel Inc. and Google LLC are based in the United States and participate in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, recognised as adequate by the European Commission in its decision of 10 July 2023.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, object to processing, receive it in a readable format and withdraw your consent, by writing to silviaza@gmail.com.

If you believe your data are not being handled correctly you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be) or with the authority of the country where you live.

Changes

If this notice changes, I update the date at the top of the page.
